Once we identify a writing opportunity that matches your profile, we’ll let you know the topics and project details via email."}},{"id":"va3NODd0Eu","type":"paragraph","data":{"text":"In every writing opportunity email, we will list the project details for your review. This includes: "}},{"id":"knnVEOW-Kd","type":"list","data":{"style":"unordered","items":["Client name: The name of our client, usually with a link attached to their client profile. This is where you can learn more about the client's content goals and review their preferences.","Scope of work: The expected word count for each topic in the project. Our most common type of work opportunity is a standard article, which ranges between ~1200-1500 words. ","Article Byline: Whether or not there will be author attribution for the content for this client. Please note that our clients often determine whether they would like to include an author byline AFTER they receive the content. If the client has not yet made a final decision about author attribution, we will let you know it is \"to be determined\" or \"TBD\". ","Projected timeline: The timeline you can expect to have to write the piece. For standard articles, an author will always receive two weeks from the day they start writing to complete the piece, unless otherwise agreed upon. Assigning the Content","level":3}},{"id":"AmfxjaIbD4","type":"paragraph","data":{"text":"If you've successfully been assigned a writing opportunity, we will follow up with a confirmation email including your expected deadline and payment details. Then, you can expect to receive a task request for the content via Worksuite."}},{"id":"o2kQzQyb2G","type":"paragraph","data":{"text":"Do not begin writing a piece unless you have received both a confirmation email from opportunities@contentlab.io AND a task request for the article on Worksuite. Writing the Content","level":3}},{"id":"j6sCSY6pZX","type":"paragraph","data":{"text":" You have until the deadline specified on your Worksuite task request to submit the final draft of your article. We will always communicate deadlines with you, and we’ll check in with you twice during the writing process to ensure you’re on track for delivery and have no questions. "}},{"id":"pwJfbJsX13","type":"paragraph","data":{"text":"We value communication. If you find you can’t finish a piece or are struggling with subject matter or timelines, let us know right away! Our team must monitor deadlines to ensure we are providing our clients quality content in a timely manner. If, for any reason, you are unable to meet the due date of the project we have agreed upon, we must be notified as soon as possible. Any projects that are submitted late without any prior communication (at least 48 hours in advance) will be subject to cancellation and no payment. Mark the Worksuite task as complete, then send us a quick message via the \"Messages\" tab on Worksuite to let us know that you've completed your draft. "}},{"id":"CLH49-Tpve","type":"paragraph","data":{"text":"If you included images or screenshots in your article, please add the files in an article to a .zip folder and upload it to the \"Files\" tab of your Worksuite task. If you included code samples in your article, add these to a separate .zip folder and upload it to the \"Files\" tab as well. "}},{"id":"JOE2W17-5u","type":"paragraph","data":{"text":"Your work will be checked extensively for any plagiarism. ContentLab has a zero-tolerance policy for plagiarism. Any plagiarized content will be immediately rejected and subject to no payment. "}},{"id":"eZME8R9ei9","type":"paragraph","data":{"text":"Once our quality check has been completed, your work will be reviewed for technical accuracy and revised by our editorial team. We have an extensive editorial process in place to ensure that the best quality content possible is sent to our clients. This means that at different stages of our review process, a member of our team may reach out to you to request revisions, updates, or answers to our questions. Payment","level":3}},{"id":"frIsNJQImR","type":"paragraph","data":{"text":"When we have submitted your article to our client, our team will complete the Worksuite task and approve your payment. The payment sums for a writing opportunity are always determined based on the scope of work involved and will be presented to you via your confirmation email. We pay by the piece, and not per word or by the hour."}},{"id":"_QAgdFK_Lx","type":"paragraph","data":{"text":"Payment cycles at ContentLab are from the first to the last day of each month, with payment made on the 15th of the following month. ie. If payment for your article is approved between January 1st - 31st, you can expect payment on February 15th. Please ensure you have filled out all these details completely and accurately so you don't experience any delays with your payments each month.
